Eco-Village

The ecological environment is immediately felt when arriving at the urbanization, by the fresh air and by the total green framing, composed by big-sized trees such as stone pine and olive tree. However, the localization is only one of the elements that make of this enterprise a hymn to the harmony.

The transformation of this project into an Eco Village is a realized reality for all the companies associated to the project.

Exteriors Comfort constitutes a basic factor in the choice of a place to live. In our days, this concern is associated with a sustainable use of the inhabited places or its surrounding. Concerning the exterior spaces, more and more we try to diminish the water consumptions, to keep species and habitats and to use efficient illumination, in harmony with the interior spaces, if possible. In The Village Energy & Life we desired to fulfil two basic requirements in terms of exterior arrangements: to realize a very pleasant space that demanded the minimum of maintenance. One of the basic factors to fulfil these requirements was the definition of functional areas, with the implementation of a continuous structure that established a connection between all the areas. Ways were created through a rough ground, allowing, in direct contact with nature, pedestrian and bike ways with some obstacles, and also the practise of physical exercise. The concern with the hydric consumption originated the option for great demanding maintenance, in detriment of lawn areas. This resource allows, simultaneously, that all the space is fulfilled by varied volumes, with colour, forms and texture contrasts, so that we can get a dynamic and appellative area.

Interiores In the interior of each house, space was thought for a daily use, becoming in a projection of the building?s interior to the exterior, always with a harmonious and functional continuity. For that, wooden deck?s areas were used near the swimming pool, as also little paved areas were created with inert agglomerates, keeping the ground?s permeability, as in the areas near barbecues, where it is possible to circulate or place furniture. Areas of plantation of reduced hydric requirement and great aesthetic appeal were defined. Trees were placed and also areas of organic contours were created, near the parking places. Close to the entrance of the building an infantile park was created. Balancing carefully interior and exterior, a multi-functional and extremely pleasant place was created, where a high biodiversity and a strong energetic efficiency coexist.
